As Daws resorts to sabotage and dirty tricks to protect his horse's winning streak, Billy must stay sharp to ensure the race is run fairly and see Brazos Beauty across the finish line.

When Billy the Kid rides into town, he discovers that a young woman named Helen Worth has been claiming him as her brother to protect herself and her husband Ted from the menacing Brimmer gang—a ruthless outfit of outlaws after the buried gold that Ted's uncle hid years ago. Now Billy finds himself drawn into the hunt for the treasure, marked only by a mysterious "Z" somewhere in the lost canyon country, all while Rock Brimmer and his men close in with their own dark intentions. With danger mounting and betrayal lurking at every turn, Billy must navigate treachery and violence to uncover the gold before the Brimmers claim it as their own.

Billy the Kid joins a traveling medicine show heading to Crown City, taking the place of their sidelined sharpshooter in a high-stakes shooting contest—but he soon realizes someone is willing to kill to keep the prize money from leaving town. When the real danger strikes during the match, Billy's legendary marksmanship becomes the only thing standing between the show and a brutal robbery.
