Billy the Kid #57
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis Charlton Western from 1966 takes a genuinely strange turn, as the cover — illustrated by Rocco "Rocke" Mastroserio — depicts a sneering, top-hatted villain looming large over a wide-eyed Billy the Kid, who clutches his pistol while apparently falling under some kind of hypnotic command. The cover text teases "The Tormentors" and promises a showdown with the self-styled "Earl of Boothill," making this one of the more off-beat entries in the series. With Joe Gill writing and José Delbo on interior art, it's a fun blend of frontier action and pulpy villainy that shows Charlton wasn't afraid to push the Western genre in unexpected directions.
