Billy the Kid #23

Billy the Kid engages in a brutal hand-to-hand fight with an opponent named Kessler over a gun, with the two fighting savagely for hours until only one survives. After defeating Kessler, Billy encounters trouble at a ranch where a sidewinder and a mysterious cloaked rider called "the Deacon" are involved in a conflict; Billy sets a trap using a rope to catch the Deacon, but discovers that the true culprit pulling the reins was Kessler, whom Billy thought he had already defeated. In the climactic confrontation, Billy reveals the Deacon's identity and defeats him at the ranch.
