Charlton's long-running frontier series delivers another tense installment with issue #117, featuring a cover by Warren Sattler that puts Billy the Kid front and center — bursting through a saloon's swinging doors, pistol drawn and expression fierce, ready for whatever trouble waits outside. A small inset portrait of the Kid in his signature red vest reinforces the outlaw attitude, while weathered barrels and a broom on the boardwalk set the dusty Western mood perfectly. With Rudy Rankins scripting and Jordi Franch Cubells on interior art, "Conflict at Deep Rock!" promises the kind of straight-shooting Western action that kept this Charlton title going strong in 1976.
