Billy the Kid returns home to his family after being away, but learns that his presence puts them in danger from Barton's gang, who seek revenge. After being wounded and nursed back to health, Billy decides he must leave his family to protect them, riding away into the sunset to face his enemies alone rather than let innocent families suffer.
