After the Vampire Burglar has drained nearly all of Captain Marvel's life force, Mary and Mr. Tawny go to Freddy for help. Putting aside his dislike of Cap, he brings them to the Rock of Eternity so they can try to bring Shazam back. However, Black Adam returns also, and nearly crushes them all until Freddy gives his lightning to Captain Marvel and revitalizes him. Surprisingly, this does not remove Freddy's power, but changes him to Captain Marvel Junior.
