Bill & Ted Save the Universe #1

The most excellent duo is back — this 2017 BOOM! Studios miniseries kicks off with Bill and Ted leaping exuberantly into what appears to be a cosmic adventure, their energetic poses bursting with enthusiasm against a swirling space backdrop. Below them, a cool-looking guy in dark sunglasses peers out at the viewer while a wonderfully chaotic crowd of diverse characters — including what looks like historical figures, aliens, and a dinosaur — presses in around him. Derek Charm's clean, expressive linework and vibrant colors make this opener of the five-issue series a genuinely fun start to whatever universe-saving business lies ahead.
