This issue features two stories. "Windy Whopper: The Cuckoo Cook" is a humorous tale in which a cook creates chaos at a ranch with his incompetent cooking, leading to slapstick violence involving flying cookware and food. The main story follows Bill Boyd as he encounters his old friend Crowbait Clemson on the road, who is transporting an outlaw named Pop Jeff to town; when the gang attempts to ambush and kill Crowbait to free the prisoner, Bill helps capture the criminals and brings them to justice, while Crowbait's conscience weighs on him about whether to reveal the gang's location to authorities.
