Sergeant Bill Battle is assigned to interrogate a prisoner and leads a one-man patrol into the Red Sector during the Korean War. Sgt. Bill Battle (first appearance)Captain Marshall (first appearance)Private Redmond (first appearance)

Sergeant Bill Battle, the Army's loudest and most boisterous soldier, takes charge of training a fresh batch of replacements fresh off the boat in Korea—and quickly proves that his idea of "coddling" recruits involves ice-cold streams, hand-to-hand combat demonstrations, and enough bluster to fill a barracks. When one hothead recruit takes his swagger a step too far, Captain Marshall has to step in and separate the two before things get completely out of hand.

Three Cheers for Chen!

In the South Korean city of Wang-Wei, the mild-mannered banker Chen Sun is dismissed by his townsmen as a coward unfit for war—until the ruthless General Li marches on the city to seize a fortune in provincial gold. When the town's defenses crumble, Chen Sun makes a fateful choice that sets him apart from everyone around him. As General Li closes in, the banker's quiet resolve will prove far stronger than anyone bargained for.

Sgt. Bill BattleCaptain MarshallPrivate RedmondCaptain Sump (villain)

When Sgt. Bill Battle and Private Redmond scout the Communist-held town of Tip-Yang, a reconnaissance mission takes a dangerous turn—and Redmond finds himself captured by the enemy while facing the sneering Captain Sump. But this story proves once again why Bill Battle earned his reputation as the One-Man Assault Force, even when the odds seem as impossible as a snowball's chance in Hades. With humor, heart, and plenty of action, this tale shows that sometimes the greatest soldier on the battlefield is also the one his men can count on most.
