Big Trouble in Little China #2

Eric Powell's cover for this 2014 BOOM! Studios release captures the chaotic spirit of the beloved film with a movie-poster flair — Jack Burton armed and intense looms large alongside a wide-eyed Wang Chi brandishing a sword, while a snarling beast lurks in the background and a trio of stocky supernatural warriors flank an enormous tortoise in the foreground. It's a wonderfully dense composition that makes clear John Carpenter's wild mix of action and mythology is in very good hands. With Powell and Brian Churilla driving the creative engine, fans of the source material have every reason to dive in.
