“Deadline Nightmare!”

In "Deadline Nightmare!", a shadowy taxi-cab crime ring preys on wealthy passengers using hidden microphones in fare boxes to plan robberies at their destinations. When editor Steve Wilson enlists his friend "cabbie" Harry the Hack to go undercover, the stakes rise as Harry navigates a web of deception—using a fake license plate to lure the gang into a trap. Written by Ed Herron and illustrated by Dan Barry, with inks by Sy Barry, the story unfolds with tense realism, while Carmine Infantino’s cover captures the noir urgency of the case.
