The first story involves a sheriff's office tracking down a convict named Mickey, with officers planning to apprehend him, while a man drives to Purdy's Farm to escape the city and encounters a flat tire and subsequent complications with law enforcement. "The Skyman," by Otto Messmer, follows the titular space hero who discovers saboteurs—Estora, Alec, and Zandra—have infiltrated his damaged spacecraft and stolen anti-gravitite fuel; after regaining consciousness and confronting them, he demands an explanation of their destination before they attempt a surprise attack. A third story depicts a father and son's conflict over the boy's desire to ride his bicycle, which the father initially forbids as too dangerous, though he later relents and agrees to teach the boy a lesson about responsible riding the next morning.
