The cover of this second chapter in Eric Powell and Tim Wiesch's four-part Image series is a striking, unsettling image: a stocky, bearded man in a worn jacket and a "Hang In There" t-shirt raises a bloody hammer over a figure slumped at his feet, his expression radiating cold, focused fury. Powell's cover art — both pencils and inks his own — wrings remarkable tension from that darkly lit composition, making it clear this series isn't pulling any punches. If issue one hooked you, this 2015 miniseries is clearly only getting more intense.
