Betty and Me #97
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this 1978 Archie Series entry says it all: Betty flashes a mischievous grin as she cheerfully answers "EXACTLY!" to a warning that without a compass, she and Archie might get lost — and sure enough, a backpack-laden Archie is already heading blithely down the trail while a concerned companion gestures near a red tent. Dan DeCarlo and Jim DeCarlo's cover art captures that breezy, sun-dappled summer-camp energy that made this series such a pleasure, with Betty clearly in her element as the one pulling the strings. Paired with Frank Doyle's story "This Girl For Hire," Betty and Me #97 is a lighthearted slice of late-'70s Riverdale charm.
