Betty and Me #111
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1980 Archie Comics entry in the long-running Betty and Me series captures the gang's lighthearted charm in a two-panel cover by Stan Goldberg. Archie presents Betty with what he proudly announces are orchids for her birthday — but the punchline lands in the bottom panel, where he sheepishly hands her a packet of orchid seeds with the caveat that she'll have to plant them herself, leaving Betty looking less than thrilled. It's the kind of sweet, gently comic moment that made this series a staple of the spinner rack, with interior art from the talented team of Dan DeCarlo, Rudy Lapick, Barry Grossman, and Bill Yoshida.
