“On Off Again!”

A visit to the mysterious fortune teller Madam Rosaro sets the stage for this 2005 Archie Comics outing, with Betty and Archie leaning in wide-eyed as the crystal ball glows and a grim prediction hangs in the air — "rough times ahead for your relationship!" Veronica lurks gleefully in the background, dramatically parting the purple curtains as if she's already planning to make those rough times rougher. Stan Goldberg's pencils and Bob Smith's inks give the scene a lively, expressive energy that captures the signature charm of the Betty solo series at its most fun.
