Berzerkers #1

Image Comics launched this 1995 team title with a cover by Dan Fraga that puts the full Berzerkers roster front and center — a muscular, multi-armed cyborg leads the charge, flanked by a green-mohawked female warrior, a hulking feral creature crouching low, a masked figure in the background, and an airborne teammate streaking in from the upper right amid a debris-filled sky. There's a genuine sense of kinetic energy here, with each character projecting a distinct, rough-edged personality that fits right into the mid-90s Image aesthetic. Writer Beau Smith and a full creative team — including inkers Dan Fraga and Marlo Alquiza and colorists Chris Lichtner and Extreme Colors — round out this opening chapter of what promises to be a hard-hitting ensemble series.
