Piranha Press closes out Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children with this striking final issue, subtitled "The Dream Is Dead — Gone, Shot Off, All Squashed Flat." Dan Sweetman's cover delivers a viscerally strange image: a wide-eyed, green alien creature screams in apparent panic inside a spinning, battered flying saucer, bottles flying loose around it against a deep space backdrop. It's a fittingly offbeat send-off from the creative team of Dave Louapre and Dan Sweetman, whose darkly whimsical anthology series carved out its own wonderfully weird corner of 1992 comics.
