Atlas Comics brought the heat with this July 1955 entry in their war anthology series, promising "all brand-new war tales" for just a dime. Joe Maneely's cover thrusts a grimacing soldier front and center, rifle blazing as spent casings fly, while his squad advances through a burning, rubble-strewn town behind him — smoke, flames, and toppled utility poles selling the chaos of "Shell-Fire!" beautifully. With Bob Brown handling interior art duties and stories including "Able Company Strikes!", this is mid-fifties Atlas war comics doing exactly what they did best.
