Battlefield Action #57

Charlton's Battlefield Action #57 serves up a snapshot of wartime grit with its lead story "Jeep Jockey," featuring Cpl. Palumbo, a driver who finds out fast that a soft job behind the wheel is anything but. The cover — penciled and inked by Dick Giordano — puts you right in the action: two soldiers race a military jeep through smoke and explosions while an enemy aircraft bears down on them overhead, one soldier shouting "I'm hit, Colonel!" only to be met with the no-nonsense reply "So what? Keep driving!"
