"Jeep Jockey" depicts Colonel Palumbo instructing soldiers on maneuvering a jeep through enemy lines, with a soldier hit by enemy fire while driving but continuing the mission under fire. "Peewee and the Goon" follows Charlie Company trapped on Bare Rock Mountain during the last battle on a ridge, where soldiers Peewee and Junkie create a diversion by throwing a hillbilly goon into a foxhole to aid their escape. "New Style of War" describes World War I cavalry charges and their transition to trench warfare, contrasting how armies adapted to machine gun fire, with entire regiments wiped out in gallant but costly charges that taught soldiers the bitter lessons of modern combat.
