Charlton's Battlefield Action #47 delivers the kind of tense, ground-level war drama the publisher did so well in 1963, with a cover by Sam Glanzman that pulls you right into the action. A rifle-armed soldier plunges through the air mid-parachute jump — the story title "Jungle Jump!" blazoned beside him — while inset panels below erupt with gunfire, explosions, and soldiers in close combat amid the brush, punctuated by bold "BUDDA BUDDA" sound effects. Joe Gill's script and Luis Dominguez's interior art promise the same raw urgency the cover delivers, all for twelve cents.
