This anthology issue contains two World War II stories. The lead story "Strong Point!" depicts a nine-man Allied patrol trapped in an eerily still German village, with only three soldiers—Lt. Dave Bassett, Sgt. Joe Bushek, and an aged man—managing to escape the Nazi forces. The second story, "How Bad Can It Be?", follows a soldier who recounts to his son why he still wears a medal earned during a harrowing bridge crossing in March 1945, detailing a dangerous mission where American forces had to cross a strategic bridge despite Nazi opposition, leading to intense combat involving grenades, machine gun positions, and aerial bombardment.
