"Dawn Is the Hour of Death" follows Bill Battle and his men as they launch a dawn assault against enemy positions, enduring intense artillery and machine-gun fire while advancing across open ground. After successfully overrunning the initial objective, Battle learns that a Red raiding party led by Major Beesom has captured important strategic maps detailing an operation to end the war. Battle volunteers for a dangerous nighttime mission to infiltrate enemy lines, retrieve the maps, and stop Beesom, relying on stealth and cunning to complete the task behind enemy lines.
