This December 1952 Atlas war anthology delivers exactly what its tagline promises — "Battle Adventures of Troops in Combat!" — with a kinetic cover by Joe Maneely that throws you right into the thick of close-quarters fighting. A bare-chested American soldier squares off against an enemy combatant wielding a knife, warplanes streak overhead, and fallen figures litter a chaotic foreground while a military vehicle looms in the background. With interior art by Hy Rosen and lettering by Morrie Kuramoto on the story "The Reds Attack," this is a solid ten-cent slice of early-'50s war comics done with real grit and energy.
