Batman: The Dark Knight #4
Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Batman: The Dark Knight #4 arrives in 2012 with a cover by David Finch and Richard Friend that puts the Dark Knight in a genuinely uncomfortable position — massive, coiling vines have ensnared Batman from head to toe as he strains against their grip, teeth gritted and claws digging in against a lush, overgrown green backdrop. The title "Welcome to the Jungle" pairs perfectly with this suffocating tableau of nature run amok. With Paul Jenkins and Finch sharing writing duties and Friend on inks, this issue looks like a wild, verdant thriller for any Batman fan.
