Batman Reptilian #2

The cover of this DC Black Label installment says it all: Batman stands small and resolute at the mouth of a hellish, glowing tunnel, while an enormous, grotesque creature looms above him in the darkness — its red eyes burning, its form surrounded by twisted, fleshy shapes that crawl across the walls like a nightmare made solid. Liam Sharp's painted cover work gives the whole image a suffocating, otherworldly dread that feels perfectly matched to Garth Ennis's "Cruel & Unusual" storytelling instincts. If Book One left you unsettled, Book Two of Batman: Reptilian looks poised to push that unease considerably further.
