“Fortress [Part 1]”

In "Fortress [Part 1]," Batman faces a crisis unlike any before—when a sudden global blackout plunges Gotham into chaos, he’s forced to defend Wayne Manor from intruders while managing the mass breakout of Arkham’s inmates. As the darkness spreads beyond the city, Batman realizes the true danger is far greater: an alien threat is behind the blackout, and with Superman unreachable, he must rely on his own ingenuity to survive. Written by Gary Whitta and brought to life by Darick Robertson’s striking art and Diego Rodriguez’s vivid colors, this is a tense, grounded start to a high-stakes mystery.
