Alors que les employés de WGBS manifestent à l'extérieur du bâtiment, ils assistent à une image miroir de la ligne d'horizon de Metorpolis descendant du ciel. Lorsque Superman enquête, il trouve Brainiac, qui lui annonce que lorsque l'image miroir rencontre la véritable ligne d'horizon, cette dernière explosera. Avec l'aide de WGBS, Superman convainc Brainiac que son complot a réussi et qu'il est fou de rage. Avec l'avantage de sa raison et de l'incompréhension de la situation par Brainiac, Superman est capable de renverser la situation sur Brainiac et de l'envoyer dans l'espace lointain.
