Ten issues into Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's thirteen-part noir thriller, Batman: Dark Victory turns its cold eye toward "Justice" — and Tim Sale's cover makes the threat unmistakable. A menacing figure in a tall, cylindrical hood looms out of near-total darkness, rendered in stark teal and black, one gloved hand leveling a pistol directly at the viewer with quiet, unsettling calm.
