Batman - Dark Patterns #1
The brooding mood of this 2025 Urban Comics release is captured perfectly on Hayden Sherman's cover: a close, almost confrontational view of Batman's chest symbol — the bold gold-and-black bat emblem — while a pair of worn, bandaged hands cradles something worn and tattered just below it, hinting at fragility beneath the armor. Dan Watters leads the writing alongside Basile Beguerie, with Sherman's art and Tríona Farrell's colors giving the whole thing a moody, atmospheric weight that feels genuinely fresh. If Affaire #1 : L'Homme Blessé — "The Wounded Man" — is any indication of the series' tone, Batman: Dark Patterns looks set to be a thoughtful, psychologically rich chapter in the Dark Knight's story.
