Batman floats alone at the center of a vast, churning sea of identical robots on this striking Whilce Portacio and Richard Friend cover — the solitary Dark Knight in blue and gray surrounded on all sides by an army of mechanized adversaries, a single human silhouette against an overwhelming tide of steel. The tagline "Man vs. Machines!" says it all, and writer Andy Diggle brings this "Rules of Engagement" arc to its sixth and final chapter with the stakes written all over that cover image. It's a beautifully composed reminder of what makes Batman compelling: sheer, defiant will against impossible odds.
