About this Collection

This collection presents the complete story arc from Batman Chronicles #1-5, where a young Dick Grayson faces his final test before becoming Robin. Written by Mike W. Barr with art by various illustrators, the tale follows Batman putting his new ward through a grueling gauntlet of challenges to prove his readiness for crime-fighting.

In "The Gauntlet," Bruce Canwell and Lee Weeks deliver a tense, character-driven tale where Batman puts young Dick Grayson to the ultimate test: evade him across Gotham City for one night. With the stakes rising as a criminal gang targets Dick to recover stolen evidence, the line between mentorship and survival blurs in this gripping chapter of the Batman Chronicles.
