About this Collection

This Elseworlds tale presents an alternate reality where Batman, after being bitten by a vampire, must grapple with his newfound thirst for blood while continuing his war on crime in Gotham City. The story follows Bruce Wayne's transformation into a creature of the night, blending the Dark Knight's detective skills with supernatural horror elements. Originally published as a one-shot in 1995, this volume collects the complete narrative of a Batman who must choose between his humanity and his monstrous nature.

In "Batman Bloodstorm," Batman battles a terrifying bloodlust fueled by Tanya's serum, with only Selina Kyle’s presence offering fleeting relief—despite her own feline transformation. As the Joker manipulates vampires to eliminate rivals, the line between predator and prey blurs in a storm of chaos and vengeance. Written by Doug Moench and illustrated with haunting intensity by Kelley Jones, with inks by John Beatty and colors by Les Dorscheid, the issue’s cover by Kelley Jones captures the dark, feral edge of this pivotal tale.

Tanya's serum is no longer enough to control Batman's bloodlust, but luckily the love of a woman, Selina Kyle, is able to abate it for a time, despite her being a were-cat. Joker uses the vampires to kill off the competition, but is killed by Batman.
