From the animated-style streets of Gotham, a caped figure in purple and pink lunges dynamically across the cover of this 2004 DC title, a bat swooping overhead against a moody blue cityscape — it's a striking composition by cover artist Kelsey Shannon that perfectly captures the animated aesthetic fans of the series love. The tagline "The Duo Dynamic!" promises a story from writer Ty Templeton and artist Rick Burchett that puts an interesting spin on partnership. With inks by Terry Beatty and the whole creative team firing on all cylinders, this is a thoroughly enjoyable chapter in the Batman Adventures run.
