Part of DC's 2019 "Year of the Villain: Dark Gifts" initiative, this second chapter of "Oracle Rising" poses a question right on the cover that Barbara Gordon herself seems desperate to answer. Batgirl is shown reeling and off-balance in the foreground, facing down a glowing, green-circuited humanoid figure crackling with digital energy — three looming villain portraits watching ominously from the top of the cover add to the sense of mounting threat. Castellucci and Di Giandomenico deliver a visually charged setup that makes "Who or what is the New Oracle?!" feel like exactly the right question to be asking.
