Art of the Crime" kicks off in Batgirl #26 with a cover by Sean Murphy that wastes no time establishing the threat: the towering, monstrous-masked villain Grotesque looms over a city skyline, gripping Batgirl by the ankle and dangling her upside down as she defiantly swings a line and flashes a grin. The bold cover copy — "Grotesque Returns… Deadlier Than Ever!" — sets an ominous tone for this opening chapter, written by Mairghread Scott with art by Paul Pelletier, inks by Norm Rapmund, and colors by Jordie Bellaire. If this striking image is any indication, Barbara Gordon has her hands very full as this new arc gets underway.
