Batgirl #10

Part four of the "Son of Penguin" arc brings Batgirl face-to-face with danger in this 2017 DC Universe Rebirth chapter, with cover art by Chris Wildgoose showing Barbara mid-leap over a red-haired, bespectacled man in a trench coat who levels a pistol as gunfire sparks fill the air around them. The composition — Batgirl airborne and grinning with her cape streaming behind her, her adversary cool and determined below — crackles with kinetic energy and suggests she's already a step ahead. Hope Larson's run continues to give Barbara Gordon room to be both formidable and genuinely fun, and this cover makes a strong case for picking up the whole arc.
