"Mr. Man Wrinkle the Second" features Snoozer, a mischievous skunk who escapes from school by hiding in a woman's basket. After causing chaos in her home—eating bacon, getting ice cream on himself, and biting her finger when she tries to bathe him—Snoozer eventually flees. He encounters a giant and a dragon in a secret passage, manages to escape with their help, and briefly reunites with Doggety before heading toward "Happiland." The story concludes with Snoozer meeting a farmer named Hardscrabble and receiving payment for work, after which he sets off to find Willie and continue toward his destination of Happiland, intending to give a pretty lady a fancy hat.
