An anthology of anthropomorphic animal stories. "Uncle Awful Boar," by Don Arr, depicts a mail carrier pig's distress upon learning that his visiting Uncle Awful—a crude boar from the wild side of the family—will be arriving and staying indefinitely. A separate story follows a chicken character who discovers catnip and devises a scheme to lure a cat out of the house using the catnip, planning to drive the cat away for good by taking her on a journey.
