The 2024–2025 Dynamite volume was announced in July 2024 ahead of San Diego Comic-Con and launched in October 2024, timed to build awareness around the then-in-development Paramount Pictures Barbarella film. Writer Blake Northcott — previously known for Vampirella, Catwoman, and a stint running the backend of Millarworld — was paired with artist Anna Morozova, a 2000 AD and Judge Dredd veteran for whom the series represented her first major spotlight for many American readers. The creative team committed to honoring both Forest's original 1962–1964 French strips and Vadim's cult film while updating the tone for contemporary readers; Morozova's art and coloring drew specific praise for its deep purples, reds, and blues that critics likened to 1960s pop-art. Issue #4 shipped May 21, 2025, and the full five-issue run was collected as Barbarella: Stardust and Subversion.
