Barbarella #11

Dynamite's 2018 run of Barbarella continues with issue #11, "Burning Down the House," and Eric Powell's cover sets a wonderfully retro-cosmic tone — the fearless, long-haired heroine strides confidently atop a gleaming flying saucer in a bold red-and-gold jumpsuit, a blazing sun and star-filled nebula filling the sky behind her. There's a real sense of purposeful momentum to the image, as if the galaxy itself is just another stage for her to cross. Mike Carey and Kenan Yarar bring their talents to the interior, making this a fine chapter in one of science fiction's most enduring comics adventures.
