About this Collection

This volume from Dargaud's 'Les Héroïnes de la bande dessinée' series collects the early adventures of Jean-Claude Forest's iconic sci-fi heroine Barbarella, originally serialized in the 1960s. It features her first encounters with strange worlds and beings, including the infamous Pygar and the labyrinthine city of Sogo, establishing the character's blend of eroticism, psychedelia, and space opera that defined a generation of European comics.

Babarella drops into the Parosian system and is captured and sentenced for 'bio-smuggling'. She meets Jury, a spy, and they escape from prison only to be shot down.
