The second chapter of "The Sword" arrives with a cover by Graham Nolan that puts Bane front and center — masked, snarling, and looming over a bloodied, seemingly unconscious figure clutching what appears to be a Batman cape, with an eerie candlelit altar visible in the background. The raw menace radiating from that close-up face, smeared with blood and bared teeth, sets an appropriately brutal tone for this twelve-issue series. Chuck Dixon and Graham Nolan bring their signature intensity to this 2017 DC title, and this issue makes clear that Bane's campaign is anything but a gentle one.
