Bad Dog #2

Joe Kelly and Diego Greco's Bad Dog keeps its offbeat momentum rolling with issue #2, "River Rocks." Greco's cover art zeroes in on a grizzled, stubbly man drinking directly from a milk carton — except the carton is plastered with a "MISSING / LOST DOG" notice featuring a canine portrait wearing yellow-tinted glasses, who "responds to Beer, Bourbon, and Last Call." Red flags and a perched pigeon fill the background, lending the whole scene a wonderfully absurd, lived-in atmosphere that perfectly captures this series' grimy, comedic sensibility.
