After S'yrn and Pike make good their escape, Void teleports Backlash and his allies home to New York (and out of the grasp of the Savage Dragon who wants to arrest them). Backlash and Taboo spend an evening out on the town which leads to a night in the sack. The pair later infiltrate the Waering Enterprises Building looking for a virtual reality machine that will help them track down S'yrn, little realizing that the building is being guarded by Backlash's old Team 7 buddy, Dane.
