Yann and Henriet deliver a striking alternate-history vision with this fourth volume of *Bärenzahn*, subtitled *Amerikabomber*. The cover says everything about the series' dark ambition: a blonde woman in Luftwaffe uniform stands atop a wrecked New York taxi, surrounded by skulls, while a burning Manhattan skyline crumbles behind her and a fleet of flying-wing bombers — bearing Iron Cross markings — fills a hellish orange sky above. It's a beautifully composed, genuinely unsettling image that makes this 2017 release hard to put down before you've even opened the cover.
