B.P.R.D. #6
This French Delcourt edition of B.P.R.D. — La Machine universelle brings together the talents of Mike Mignola, John Arcudi, and Guy Davis for one of the Bureau's most atmospheric chapters. The cover, signed by Mignola, assembles a striking trio of figures — a pale, glowing-eyed woman with a cross pendant in the foreground, a blue-skinned figure behind her, and the unmistakable crimson silhouette of Hellboy rising above them all against a turbulent wash of orange and red — while a cluster of grotesque, skull-like faces lurks at the lower right. It's a moody, beautifully composed image that captures the eerie tension at the heart of the B.P.R.D. universe, and this 2008 Delcourt release makes it readily accessible to French-language readers.
