B.C. Truckin on Down #1-3680-9
This 1977 Fawcett Gold Medal collection of Johnny Hart's beloved prehistoric comic strip delivers the Stone Age humor fans have come to love. The cover — signed by Hart himself — perfectly sets the tone, showing one of his caveman characters tumbling headfirst and upside-down past a large tree trunk, limbs flailing comically against a cheerful blue sky and rounded green hills. It's a wonderfully loose, expressive piece of cartooning that captures exactly the kind of good-natured slapstick that made *B.C.* a newspaper staple.
