Azrael #29
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeAzrael faces overwhelming odds in this May 1997 entry to Dennis O'Neil's ongoing series, with cover art by Barry Kitson (inked by James Pascoe) depicting the armored hero wielding a flaming gauntlet and a sword against a swarm of skeleton warriors inside what appears to be a grim, stone-walled dungeon. The subtitle "Mansion of Death!" sets an appropriately ominous tone as Azrael battles the skeletal horde closing in from every angle. It's a viscerally striking cover that makes "Angel Errant Part One: The Descent" feel like exactly the kind of dark, propulsive chapter the title does so well.
