AVX: Consequences #2

The fallout from Avengers vs. X-Men hits close to home in this 2012 Marvel series, and Ron Garney's cover captures that tension vividly — Cyclops, stripped of his costume and clad in a prison-orange jumpsuit with only his ruby-quartz visor remaining, stands at the center of a menacing crowd of inmates, at least one of whom clutches a makeshift weapon. It's a striking image of a once-powerful mutant leader facing a very human kind of danger.
